I'm Mari

I have been crocheting for 20+ years, but it wasn’t until I couldn’t crochet due to Rheumatoid Arthritis that I became obsessed. Ever since my hands could pick up a hook again, I have been crocheting, improvizing and designing non-stop. I don’t want to take anything for granted so I’m trying to capture all of my whims and epiphanies and document them.
Last year, my focus was on learning Irish and Bruges lace techniques to help me craft freeform shapes and join them into a completed project. Now I’m working on translating these ideas into new patterns.
I grew up in Minnesota and live in Australia now. I draw on my travels and different environments for much of my inspiration.
